TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 Symposia

TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 invites symposia proposals in all areas of tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, biomaterials, technology development and clinical translation. Symposia proposals with educational, career development and societal impact are welcomed. If you are interested in submitting a symposium proposal, please complete the online form by 15 December 2018. TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 retains the right to merge similar symposium proposals or to cancel a symposium, if a critical number of abstracts is not received.

Each symposium must have two chairs and two invited speakers. The symposium chairs can also act as invited speakers. Invited speakers must be independent principal investigators from academia, industry, clinical or governmental organisation. The symposium chairs confirm that they will register and attend the Congress and chair the symposium, should it be accepted. The symposium invited speakers confirm that they will register and attend the Congress and present at the symposium, should it be accepted. The symposium chairs may be asked to review abstracts submitted to their symposium. Curriculum vitae of the symposium chairs and invited speakers and abstracts of the invited talks of the invited speakers are not required at this stage. Only one podium presentation is allowed per registered participant.

Due to budget constraints, TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 will not provide financial support to symposium chairs and invited speakers.

The symposia proposals will be evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:

  • Relevance to biomaterials, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine;
  • Relevance to industrial and clinical applications;
  • Scientific, technological, clinical, educational, career development or societal impact;
  • Diversity of the groups represented.

TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 assumes that both chairs have approved the submitted symposium proposal. All symposia proposals must be submitted electronically, in word format, using the template below. All symposia proposals must be written in English. The emails of the chairs and the invited speakers must be provided. TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 accepts no responsibility for the submitted symposia proposals. The responsibility remains with the symposia chairs. The copyright of all symposia rests with the symposia chairs. TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 may not be held responsible for any infringements as a result of plagiarism, libel, slander or any misuse of material. Chairs submitting a symposium proposal for the TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 meeting do so with the understanding that they will abide by the conditions, deadline policies and decisions of the TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 Committee.

General Principle

The TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 Congress strives to achieve inclusivity, diversity and gender balance in all aspects of the Congress. In all aspects of the Congress we shall endeavour to achieve this basic principle of balance through equal and diverse representation.

The TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 Organising Committee are familiar with this policy and are diverse, informed, and gender balanced itself.

The Congress will report back to both hosting societies on the gender breakdown of the committee, invited speakers, regular speakers, and attendees.

TERMIS-AP + ABMC7 2019 is dedicated to providing a harassment-free environment for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of fellow member or Congress participants in any form. Members or Congress participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the society and/or Congress.
