Tissue Engineering Therapies: From Concept to Clinical Translation & Commercialisation
TERMIS is the most prominent organisation in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine globally. TERMIS promotes education, research, innovation, clinical translation and social responsibility within the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine through regular meetings, training courses, scientific and lay publications, outreach activities and other forms of communication. TERMIS also provides an international forum for the informed discussion of challenges and achievements of tissue engineering therapies.
We are pleased to announce TERMIS-EU 2019 meeting to be held from the 3rd to the 7th of June 2019 at Heraklion, Crete, Greece. The theme of the meeting is ‘Tissue Engineering Therapies: From concept to clinical translation and commercialisation’. The meeting is highly important to scientists, clinicians and industries interested in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine therapies that aspire to revolutionise healthcare with their reparative capacity.
The programme of the TERMIS EU 2019 will include specific workshops and symposia in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine tools, technologies and discoveries; clinical trials; regulatory approval of new devices; scaling up; commercialisation; career development of young investigators; women leadership and representation; education; outreach; and science with an artistic twist. The Industry Day and the Clinical Day will critically discuss commercialisation and clinical translation of tissue engineering therapies. The TERMIS Debate will be highly educational and entertaining, as usual. The International Guest Nation will encourage and promote collaborations. Numerous activities will be organised to enhance the career development / employability of early stage researchers / investigators.
The TERMIS EU 2019 meeting will be held at Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Heraklion has a long history and cosmopolitan character. Knossos is the largest Bronze Age archaeological site on Crete and is considered Europe’s oldest city. The Heraklion Archaeological Museum is one of the greatest museums in Greece and the best in the world for Minoan art. A wealth of national and international cultural events (e.g. theatrical performances, art exhibitions) are hosted throughout the year. Crete is mountainous; has a number of gorges, lakes and rivers; and hosts some of the world’s most beautiful beaches. In recent years, the Cretan diet has gained much attention as one of the world's most healthful, aromatic and tasteful.We are looking forward to welcoming you at Heraklion for an excellent TERMIS EU meeting.
